spell checker

Post by italianmale »

Please could any one help?

I am a new user of PDF-XChange Viewer Version 2.5 (Build 210.0) .

I was wondering if there was an inline spellchecker?

If so, how do you select it?

Many thanks

Hello italianmale,

And welcome to our forums! There's no spell checker in the Viewer, but there's one in the Editor - so make sure to download and test it:

Hello Stefan

Thanks for your help.

I have installed Editor and the spellchecker is present but I am unable to edit the interactive pdf document?

Hi ItalianMale,

Could you please archive the file and upload it for us to look at? If you can't upload here, then could you send it to us at support@pdf-xchange.com, with a link back to this topic, for reference?

Cheers, let me know!
Will

Hello Will

Thanks for your help

I would rather not archive the file as it is my medical records!

I had previously used Acrobat Reader to read/edit the document. I am not sure if this was of any significance?

Hi italianmale,

No worries, I completely understand! Without the file, the only suggestion/hint that I can really give, is that this could be because there may be security placed on the document and, given that it's your medical records, it's very likely to be the case.

To check if there's security on the document that limits what you can do with it, go to File --> Document Properties --> Security and check to make sure that all of the fields say "Allowed".

Cheers, keep me posted!
