Sorry if this is the wrong forum — I couldn't find a more approrpiate place to post.
On downloading the 64-bit installer from Opera 11.64 I get the download dialogue as expected, but then it appears three more times.

I got a similar result when downloading the 32-bit installer. The dialogue came up about 5 times

Hi Bhikkhu Pesala,
I am also an Opera user, and I believe there's something wrong in the way opera handles the download script. All other browsers "sadly" work properly with the script and only offer the download once. I will once again check with our web devs if we can change this script further.
Regards,
Stefan

OK thanks — not a big issue. I will start another thread for the issue that brought me here to download the new version.

Hi Bhikkhu,
Both version 11.64 and 12.16 (the one I use) are apparently older versions.
Opera have released versions 15 and 16 using a new rendering engine called Blink, and the versions you and I have were using their own called Presto. Apparently this has some effect on the way those download scripts are handled, and the V16 is not experiencing the same problem as the older ones.
So our web devs advise is to download and use V16.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: PDF-XChange Editor Download Offered 4 Times
It's not good advice to use Opera 16. I have been using and testing Opera extensively for years, and Opera 16 is a long way from finished. Although it's offered by default on the download page, it's not even fully stable yet. Only today they released a new build for Opera 16 to fix some issues with data loss — http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/
Opera 12.16 is OK, but lacks many features, which is why I haven't upgraded to Opera 12.xx yet, though I do have it installed.
The best general advice would be to use Opera 12.16 as the most stable and fully functional version. Does anyone want to use a browser that doesn't support bookmarks? Opera 16 doesn't.
