Working with PDF Xchange viewer 2.5 (build 207.0) I modified a pdf overlapping a "text windows". After that I exported to Tiff. After that I created another text "text windows" in the pdf. When I exported again to Tiff overwriting to the file previously created the last changes aren't present. In other words the overwrite of the export in Tiff doesn't work.
At the moment I solved deleting the original Tiff file and creating a new one.
Is there a solution? Is there a new version that solve the bug?
Thank you.

Re: Export to tiff - Overwrite an existing tiff issue
Hello valerioerre,
And welcome to our forums!
The current latest build of the Viewer is 2.5.212 and can be downloaded from here:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
As for the overwriting problem you experienced - could this be due to the file was still locked by another application?
Regards,
Stefan

I don't think. If I check the file properties the last modification date is consistent with the last save. And if the file were locked should be not possible delete it.

I tried the latest version but with the same behaviour. Only specifing a different name of the file I can save the Tiff with the changes.

Re: Export to tiff - Overwrite an existing tiff issue
Hi valerioerre,
Actually I just tested that myself. I was offered with a warning window that the file already exists and to select an action. I selected overwrite but the new pages were actually added to the existing tiff file and it became a multi page tiff. That was also my setting in the Viewer when exporting the .tiffs originally. I will check with the devs if this behaviour is intentional.

Stefan

Re: Export to tiff - Overwrite an existing tiff issue
You reproced exactly what I tried to describe. The pages are added and the document isn't overwritten.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Export to tiff - Overwrite an existing tiff issue
Hi valerioerre,
The reply I got from my colleagues last Tuesday is that they are investigating the issue and will come back as soon as they have any news. I've not heard back from them since. I am going to ask once again for an update.
Regards,
Stefan
p.s. We've created a ticket in our internal system:
#2018: Export to tiff - Overwrite an existing tiff issue
So that we can fix this problem.
