Deleting a page in Editor 3.305 deletes all pages except 1st

I purchased the Pro package because your product (the Viewer Pro at the time) deleted pages easily and actually deleted the data (in comparison to a different product). Now, there is a deletion malfunction and the file size does not change, meaning that the data has not actually been deleted.

As you can see with the attached, I created an 8 page pdf with the pdf driver V5. I then tried to delete 1 page, but that resulted in all pages except for the first page being deleted. To top it off, the file size never changed, suggesting that no data was actually deleted.

I look forward to (i) your comments regarding fixing this issue and/or (ii) your comments of what to do differently so that I can delete a single page if desired.

I even changed the type of pdf file from pdf/a to Version 1.7 and repeated the issue.

thanks for the post and report. We can confirm that this is a bug. We have found the cause and made the appropriate corrections. The fix will be available in the next build expected this Friday.

I forgot to ask this question: did you notice how long it took for Editor to open when the pdf was created? I noticed with the last version, and it continued with this version, the start-up time for Editor has greatly increased. I realize that start up time can be affected by a multitude of factors, but I have not changed anything on my computer and Editor is the only program that is noticeably slower. And, this is really a large difference from the Viewer, that was lighting fast at start up.

Can you comment on the start up time?

this may take a little time to investigate. Most of the instances we have here are launching as fast or faster than the Viewer. Will did see some slow load times but it is inconsistent - at times it loads for him quickly, other times not.

We will certainly be looking into this. If you have a system where it consistently loads slower than the Viewer we may need/want to look at your system. Would you be amenable to a remote session should it be deemed necessary?

I can try to install it at home, which should have the same operating system. I'll do that once the next Pro Package is updated, which I assume will be Friday. I will touch base then.

A workaround is to extract all the pages you want into a new PDF.

Um... not to be a jerk or anything, but do you guys TEST your product before releasing? Deleting multiple pages instead of one is a EASY BUG to find in testing. I know. I used to work for a software development firm and it was my job to find bugs.

I would have found this one in 10 minutes.

Sounds like a Beta 2 release to me. V3.0 was an Alpha.

Why don't you let us all know when the RTM is out.
