FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
Fonts are displayed as rotated characters instead of obliqued as defined in BricsCAD. This seems to only occur when applying an oblique angle to true type fonts.

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
Hello Donald,
Thanks for your sample. I was dealing with a similar case last week, and our devs have fixed this problem already. The fix should be available in the next upcoming build of our printing drivers 5.0.272 due for release soon.
Regards,
Stefan

Hello Donald,
It should be today or tomorrow if all our tests on the installation files complete without any issues!
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
The update did not correct the issue? It is complicated. In 0920$BPD-PR Model 2.pdf you can see that the text is still displayed incorrectly.
However when I zoom in and replot a close up of the problem area it is displayed correctly as shown in 0920$BPD-PR Model.pdf
Both of these were created from the same session of BricsCAD.

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
Hi Donald,
thanks for that. The developer looking into this is asking if you can supply a PDF that shows this issue without all the extra content. This PDF is so full that it is difficult to determine exactly where the issue is. If you could perhaps supply a PDF with only the text that has the font issue we will be much better off investigating this.
We also need the TMP files from the creation of this PDF as it appears the issue is in the creation of the PDF not simply the rendering of it. Please take a look at this article for details on how to provide us the required TMP files: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... -and-issue

Thanks. I'll be glad to test any updates

I manage several 25 users ... this is causing us quite a bit of pain. We have 1000's of drawings that display the problem.

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
Hi Donald,
I don't have any firm answers right now however I will see where this investigation is at today. Because of the push to get all the Viewer features into the Editor some of the support investigations have been lowered in priority and I'll need to ascertain where this issue stands. I appreciate you sticking with us on this.

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
Hi Donald,
I'm looking for the tmp files without success. Did you send them from the email address associated with this forum account?
Can I get you to send them again to support@pdf-xchange.com as a zip archive (<30MB) and include in the body of the email a link to this thread so I can cross reference it?
To be honest - I can't see the rendering difference between the full file drawing (0920%24BPD-PR Model 2.pdf) and the one with just the oblique text (0920%24BPD-PR Final.pdf). Maybe I'm missing something...

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
I sent the temp file from dbroussard@hunsakersd.com
the string 44'x62' changes from looking italic as expected to each character being rotated.
I will resend the temp file

0920%24BPD-PR Final.pdf shows the issue with the problem isolated.
Compare it to 0920$BPD-PR Model.pdf
The temp file has been sent.

YAY! Thanks for the prompt handling of this
Any guess on timing of the next build. We encounter the issue in many of our documents.

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
It appears that build 273 almost fixed the issue. The text appears correctly in the PDF on screen. However is still plots incorrectly to printers. I confirmed this on multiple types of printers.
This seems strange but is it possible?
Thanks

Re: FONTs displayed incorrectly - Oblique Angle
When it is rendered correct on the screen but not prints properly, it is not a PDF issue but the printing application or printer's driver.
Some drivers does not support skewed text.
In this case, in the PDF-XChange Viewer, or PDF-XChange Editor, you can set to print text as curves (use Advanced... button on corresponding Print dialog).
