Hyperlinks in older pdfs not recognized

I just upgraded to version 2.5.214 of the ActiveX SDK to resolve an known bug where URLs that warp across multiple lines are not fully picked up by the viewer when you click on the URL.

After upgrading, the ActiveX Viewer works fine if the PDF is version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.0). However, if the PDF is version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.0) I find that the ActiveX Viewer will not even recognize the link in the PDF.

Does the newest version of the ActiveX Viewer SKD support the older version (1.3) of the PDF? Thank you.

Yes it certainly should be working properly with spec 1.3 files as well. Can you provide a sample illustrating the problem? Also does the End user Viewer (the same build 214.1) recognize those links correctly?

Thanks for responding. I ran a quick test using the viewer (PDFXCview.exe) located in C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange Viewer SDK\Bin\. The viewer did not recognize the URL in the spec 1.3 file either.

As a separate test, I opened the spec 1.3 file in Adobe Reader XI and itv recognized the URL.

I can provide a copy of the file upon request.
