Select tool not working

I cannot get the 'select tool' to work. Instead of allowing me to select a line of text the icon stays as an arrow and does nothing. I have just downloaded the latest version (2.5 build 214.0) to see if that helped but the problem is the same.

Hi rwg,

the select tool should be working. I have tested build 214 with that here. It could be that there is something in that PDF, perhaps it is text based?

Can you use the select Tool on the attached PDF? It should be fine. If you want to attach your PDF we can take a look also.

Thank you! It was an imaged-based pdf so using OCR sorted it out.
