When opening a document it displays a blank page...

We are using the 64Bit version of the viewer, we use it to display PDF documents based on us sending a open PDF command to the software, when we do this the first time we are supplied a blank page.

If we send the request the 2nd time it opens without issue quickly.

Now, the issue is this happens with all PDFs that we tried to view... We noticed this happens after the software has set for about an hour or so.

Is there a setting to tell the software not to time out or to keep it live?

We are running Version: 2.5 (Build 211.0) PDFXCHANGE VIEWER (Free) at this moment, if we need to buy the PRO, I think I can get that approved.

Thanks for the info. - I believe that you should be able to do this with the Free Version, so you should be fine there. You are using an older build though, so I would strongly recommend downloading and running the following installer to update to the latest build and seeing if that helps:

Thank you I will do that... Is this the 64 Bit version, as it has to be a 64 Bit version reader for our systems to use it. That was the reason we are using your reader.

If you're system is of a 64-bit architecture the EXE will automatically detect the architecture and install accordingly.

Good Morning Will,

We upgraded to the latest version and I'm sorry to say when we first scan a document, both screens just come up as a blank white document.

Now, the odd thing is, once we do that first one all the remaining works great.

Is there a time out when it does not pull the document correcting the first time after a select amount of time?

I'm doing a 2nd test that will allow it to set for an hour or more, where I have the viewer open with a document display to see if that keeps the viewer running correctly.

Some additional information:

When we scan a document to display, it opens on 4 different systems based on that scan. The one system that is having the issue is the machine that opens the document in two different applications (windows).

The different between this one system and the other 3 is the 3 systems pulls our application in as a control which is embedded in a different application. Those three systems have yet displayed a blank white document. It's only happening on the one system that pulls up the same document in two windows.

Now, all the systems use the 'View in Browser' part of the viewer software.

I hope this helps supply you with more details. And just to say it again, this happens with ALL documents after a select amount of time. It's acting like the viewer is timing out or something on the first pull.

Based on early testing this product may have fixed the issue, still testing to make sure.

The only question we have, before we where able to turn off the scroll bars, how can we do that on this one?

Hi Mark,

I don't think you were able to turn the scrollbars off in the Viewer, and in the Editor they will not appear at all if not needed.

Yes sir you can... Plus we don't want them to show no matter what, as we are using this to display just the first page of the PDF on a very very very large board within our chamber.

Are you referring to the Full Screen mode in the Viewer?
Indeed such is not yet available in the Editor, but will be added in one of the next builds.

Yes we use it in full screen mode via the bowser and we turn off all elements besides the PDF.
