MSP Update 212>213 x64 not working

the MSP update patch PXCViewer_212_to_213_x64.msp is not working on my test system (Windows 7 64bit). It does not simply patch the installed Version 2.5.212 (installed via MSI) but offers the "Change", "Repair" and "Remove" options. When trying to "Change" or "Repair" it fails with the following error message:

Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PT57F9.tmp.
It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor.

At this point I can only "Retry" (fails again) or "Cancel".

I have saved an update log on my server: Link.

This is the first patch version for this product that I was trying to apply (2.5.212 was the first version I installed with MSI).
Installation of 2.5.213.1 MSI (after removing 212.0) is working - so it seems not to be an incompatibility issue of my system with the 213.1 version.

Can anyone help me? I need a working MSP to publish it in my network via WSUS/ADS.

In the meantime I have tried the update installation in a Windows Server 2008 R2 with the same result: not working. So it was not just a problem with my first test machine.

Any update to this? We are evaluating the viewer since v.212 and tried to deploy automatic updating with no success so far (x64). I installed a fresh .212 MSI and tried the 212_to_213 MSP, installed fresh .213 and tried 213_to_214 MSP, same thing.

I must still confirm that. Still the same error with the new version (.213 to .214), too.

I'm not sure what the sate of this investigation is but I'll find out and hopefully it will be put to rest for the next build. I raised a support Request Ticket to more easily track the progress here. RT#2258: MSP Update 212>213 x64 not working (internal only)

Here is my Error in the Event-Viewer: PDF-XChange Viewer - Update "PDF-XChange build 198 to 199 patch" konnte nicht installiert werden. Fehlercode 1603
