Inverted Objects when moved

Post by klink06 »

I am trying to move an object (in this case a typewriter note) to another page. When doing so, the object becomes inverted. This is only happening on one of my PDF's and occurs with every type of object (Stamps, Markups etc).

Anyone know how to resolve this?

note: Creating a new object on the destination page works fine, however this really bothers me and I would appreciate help figuring it out.

Thank-you

Hi klink06,

Thanks for the post - could you please tell me the build of the Viewer that you're using? (Available from Help --> About in the Viewer)

Cheers, let me know!

Hi klink06,

Thanks for that - could you send the PDF itself? I'm not able to reproduce this here, so I would need the PDF itself to test with.

Also, could you tell me if the document previously rotated from a different orientation, to the current?

Cheers,

Hi Will,

Unfortunately the document contains some sensitive information and I can't have it uploaded, however based on your suggestion it would seem that it has something to do with the original orientation of the pages as they have been previously rotated.

Thanks

Hi klink06,

Without the document, I'm afraid that I can't really advise further, but I suspect that the previous orientation may well be causing the problem. Is there any other sample that you can send, that isn't confidential and show this behaviour?

Cheers,

I created and attached a blank 2-page document and rotated the first page. The issue issue is present on this document. Is there any way to stop the object from 'snapping' to the original page orientation?

Thanks

Hi klink06,

Thanks for sending that - I've created an internal Development ticket (RT-2434) to help track the progress of this issue. Please be aware, though, that this will not be fixed for the Viewer, as the Viewer has been replaced by the Editor and only critical/security fixes are being selectively applied to the Viewer. Eventually, even those will stop.

Cheers,
