Hi,
I use Bricscad and pdfxchange lite 2012 and pdf xchange viewer pro on an 64bit windows 8.1. When printing for an CAD application, bitmaps i.e. logos (small or bigger size does not matter) are not printed correctly. Sometimes bitmaps are cropped and/or at a slightliy changed position or have a different zoomfactor than in the original drawing.
The Bitmaps are not inserted into the drawing but are linked and loaded when opening the drawing. The type of bitmaps differ from jpg to png.
Has anyone got a clue, how to get correctly printed pdf from cad?
Thanks,
Ingo

Re: Bitmaps not correct when printing from CAD
Hello Ingo,
Can you please try increasing the DPI used when creating the PDF files - and see if that will help with the positioning of the images.
If it doesn't -please send us a sample PDF file, and a screenshot showing the position of the image in the CAD file relative to the rest of the content in the same.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Bitmaps not correct when printing from CAD
Hello Stefan,
I have tried your suggestions, but it did not work 100%. On one file it did work very good and I was really optimistic... but with the second file no different resolution brought a correct pdf. I therfore add a screenshot from the application and the pdf produced and hope you'll find a solution. By the way-the pdf lite 2012 is 5.0 273.2.
Thanks
Ingo

Re: Bitmaps not correct when printing from CAD
Thanks Ingo,
I will need to ask one of our drivers experts to take a look at this, but in the mean time - can you please try to download and install V4 lite and check if it works correctly for you?
Best,
Stefan

Hi,
can we ask you to provide us with the intermediary tmp file that PDF-XChange creates as this will provide us with valuable information on the content properties etc during the conversion process - instructions on how top do so are available here;
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... e-an-issue
Please email to support@pdf-xchange.com -zipped.
also can you please advise the version of Windows in use and the specific CAD program and version you are using, finally please include a link back to this forum post for reference.
Many thanks

Re: Bitmaps not correct when printing from CAD
Hi Stefan,
I tried the older Version as you suggested, and so far.... everything works correctly.
As for the files your colleagues requested, I will get them the next time I am logged onto that particular maching, which is a fresh installed Windows 8.1.
Thanks,
Ingo

Hi Ingo,
Glad to hear V4 is working properly, and yes please do provide the .tmp file as we need it to be able to resolve the problem in the current version.

Hi Ingo,
Thanks for the .tmp files. I've passed them to our devs for investigation.
Cheers,
Stefan
