Edits not saved?

PDFXchange Viewer Pro Version 2.5 (Build 214.1)

I might not be understanding how this should work, but I can make minor edits to a PDF file, then save. When I later look at the file in the app, I see the edits. If I send the same file to someone via email, the file is sent in its original version, without the edits.

TO REPRODUCE:
1. I use the Rectangle Tool to cover certain info in a PDF;
2. Save with "File / Save As..."
3. Send the edited file by email

How should I send the file so that the edits are preserved?

Thanks for the post - could you please tell me what application the user that you're sending the file to is using? Also, you're using a slightly older build, so I'd recommend downloading and running the following installer to update:

Thanks for the quick reply. The file is an ASP.NET (aspx) web page generated at a government site that I am able to save as a PDF.

I don't know if this happens with other PDFs... this is just one of several that I got back and was able to see.

Do you know what application the recipient of the email is using to view the PDF?

I sent a test to someone using Acrobat Reader on Windows 8.1, and the edits remained in place. I will try to get more info.

I suspect that the issue, when the the markups don't 'stick', is likely an issue with the Reader/Viewer being used to view the document.

Could you please try emailing a copy of the PDF, using the same process as you ordinarily would, to support@pdf-xchange.com, with a link back to this topic, then I will test here and see if they stick for me too.
