print larger than fit to page

Post by mobigprint »

Hello, folks. Greetings from Japan. Thank you for considering my problem. I have a manual I need to print out much larger than 'fit to page' suggestions. I got a very tiny printed manual with the PID temperature controller I'm adding to a kiln. I downloaded the PDF manual and it is the same format with two columns per page which I can expand enough to read on screen but can not print large enough for the hard copy I need. The environment I work in requires an easy to read hard copy. I would like to print each column as a full page. I wish I could just copy and paste each column to a word processor and go from there. There are charts and graphics in it too.

Thank you for what help you can offer.
Sincerely ,
MHL

Hello MHL,

Maybe you will find this KB article useful:
How do I print a single page of a PDF document on several sheets of paper using PDF XChange Editor

Best,

Thank you very much Stefan. Dialing things in, like % magnification, margins and overlap etc. took some trial and error but once I got a lock... it was Rock & Roll for the whole manual. Literally, because my printer really does a dance. I'll soon be cooking like Mr. White & Jessie.

Arigato !

Hello MHL,

Glad all is now well!

You've got an interesting printer then - with a dancing function :)
And while I love the Breaking Bad series, don't forget how it all ended.

Cheers,
Stefan

No worries, you have aided and abetted but I'm just an old potter branching into metal clay jewelry. The digital PID Ramp/Soak controller I will use for firing not cooking. I do have an apprentice though.
