Hi
I currently have PDF-XChange Viewer v. 2.5 installed.
I know that you can click "Document --> Insert Pages" then select a .pdf file and you can insert the pages.
Is this possible with .docx files? e.g. insert Word document pages that merge with the pdf file without converting the Word file into a .pdf file first?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Insert .docx Pages
Hi Ang,
welcome to the forums and thanks for the post.
The inset pages dialogue has a filter for document type *.pdf that cannot be changed in the current build. One can drag and drop a word file into the Editor and have it generate a PDF of it on the fly so it may be possible to add this functionality to the Insert Pages dialogue though I would need to consult with the development team to see how practivcal it would be to add such a feature.
For the time being I suggest you do make a PDF first by dragging your .docx into the Editor then inserting the page that way.
I like the idea though, lets see what comes of your suggestion.

Re: Insert .docx Pages
Hi again Ang,
I discussed this with the development team leader. It appears I erred when I said one could drag and drop a .doc file and have it convert on the fly. Supported file types for this are:
I've added a feature request to include the other acceptable file types int he "Insert Pages" dialogue.
Any of these can be not only dragged into the main Editor window and converted on the fly but one can also drag onto the "Thumbnails Pane" and select where in the document it should be placed. That makes a single operation to import into your document any of the above file types. We do not currently have a way to do this with .doc files however. You will need to convert the .doc files to PDF first.
