I am a novice user of PDF-XChange Editor (although I bought it many months ago).
Currently I am trying to delete several pages from a PDF file. I can't even find a way to delete one page, or selected contents within a page.
Please tell me how to do that.

P.S. I also need to know where to go to post a message. I spent more than an hour wandering around on this website, until I finally stumbled into a place to post this message. Unfortunately, I don't know how I got here.

Re: Deleting one or more pages from PDF file
Hi Roger,
just use the delete key. Select the page in the Thumbnails pane and delete it with the "delete" key on your keyboard or right click it and select delete. See this article for how to get to the Thumbnails Pane: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... the-Editor.
You can also go Document --> Delete Pages... and follow the dialogue.
To get to the forums you can simply tack /forums onto the domain name, so, https://www.pdf-xchange.com/forum or click the "Tracker Forum" link at the top of every page on the website.
I hope that helps.

Paul:
Thanks for the help. It will be useful for me in the future.
But I have discovered that your help won't work for the EpsonV33 [Scanner] UserGuide PDF file from which I was attempting to delete information (about photo images) that is irrelevant for me because my V33 hardware doesn't have those features. I was trying to delete clutter.
Earlier today --- after logging in --- I wrote a careful reply to your message explaining the details of what I had tried to do (following your instructions) but could not do because Delete was a greyed out option in Edit and in Document. But after I had explained that in detail, your website decided that I wasn't logged in --- contrary to what was at the top of the window --- and dumped everything I had written.
So this is a short and incomplete summary. The EpsonV33 User Guide is "Secured," which apparently means non-editable. Until today, I hadn't known what "secured" meant in this context.
I have now learned that I should always save in Thornsoft's Clipmate whatever I have written on this website before I try to actually post it.

My problem has not been finding forums (although your "tack" was a new idea; thanks). It is how to find a place in which to post a question after one is at a forum.
Thanks for the help. I mean that sincerely.

Re: Deleting one or more pages from PDF file
Our apologies for that inconvenience, our website has gone into maintenance mode for some testing before we release the latest build of the Editor.
with respect to the security of the document, you will need to ask the author for the password to unlock the document. If you are the author, and you have not intentionally put security in place, there may be something your scanner is doing to implement security to the document.

If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Re: Deleting one or more pages from PDF file
Hi Roger,
Thanks for getting back to us - we've just put the main site in maintenance mode, as we're running some tests on our end, so this is likely why you were signed out.
With regards to the security on PDF's, there can be two different types of security; password protecting so that the document can't be opened without a password and password protecting to restrict what can be done to the document. Both can also be applied in conjunction with one another and these permissions can be viewed under File --> Document Properties --> Security.
As for posting on the forums, this is done by selecting the forum that you wish to post in (i.e. the Editor forum), then clicking the "New Topic" button.
Hope that helps!
