Re: Define a Default File Folder
Hello KenMcC,
The latest Editor build should remember the last used folder - this is pretty standard for most applications. In fact we rely on a windows feature that handles this folder remembering.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Define a Default File Folder
Hi Stefan,
By latest editor build, do you mean the upcoming 308 release? I am using the latest released build, 307.2 on Windows 7 pro, but the Save As... dialog box is not remembering the save location. It seems to be defaulting to the folder where the current file you are trying to save is already located. If the file is a PDF received via Outlook email then the Save As... location defaults to Documents. No matter how many times you save a PDF to a certain folder it never becomes the default. Hopefully that's not the intended behavior, because I have 100 users yelling at me to change that.

Re: Define a Default File Folder
Hello custom mobility inc.,
Yes apologies - I've been with a pre release of 308 on my machine for the last few days.
Take a look at the attached - you will be able to select the Save behaviour in the upcoming build.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Define a Default File Folder
Stefan, I have PDF-XChange Editor ver. 307.2 and there is no Documents Icon in the Preference selection options. There is a New Documents Option. Could your post be for 308?

Hi Ken,
Yes, Stefan's post is referring to build 308, so please download and try that from here:

Just a note, I would strongly recommend taking a look at this KB article before proceeding with the update:

Hi Ken,
Thanks for letting us know that - this is strange and wasn't happening yesterday. I've passed this to the Web Devs. and they're looking into this now. I'll post back as soon as the issue is resolved.
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience!
