Dear Tracker-Software:
When multiple windows of the editor open (but only single PDFXEdit.exe instance), there is a behavior which admit room of improvement:
Behavior 1: If we hide/add a toolbar, or import saved settings, whose result is that there is a change to the UI, we are automatically brought to the first window, but not the current window. If there are many windows open, it takes quite some time to find again the last viewing window.
Behavior 2: This also happens when we split window, remove split and so on.
Behavior 3: Additionally, when we click a PDF document, the newly opened window is not brought to the front by default, but needs to be switched to manually from the taskbar.
Wish to see these improved in the new release.
Bob

Re: Multiple window improvement suggestions
Hi Bob,
thanks for the email and report. What build of the Editor are you using? The current build is 308.1 and I cannot reproduce your issues in points 1 and 2. For me it happens to all frames concurrently. Can you confirm you are seeing this in 308.1? We may need more detailed, step by step instructions on how to reproduce this.
Issue 3 we have reproduced and raised a support ticket around (internal only - RT#2553: Multiple window improvement suggestions)
Please advise your build number and further detail on how to reproduce issues 1 and 2 if still present in 308.1
regards

Dear Paul,
Build is lastes 308.1.
"If we hide/add a toolbar, or import saved settings"
In order to reproduce the issue, could you please try
1. click edit > import settings
2. click a saved setting (particularly one which whose toolbar settings is different from the current one)
If there are currently 10 windows open (yet only one PDFXEdit window) and we were on the 6th window, doing the above changes the UI for all windows and bring us to the 1st window.

Re: Multiple window improvement suggestions
Hi Bob,
Thanks for the info. - I've tested using the same steps and am able to reproduce this. Currently, I'm not sure whether or not this is done purposely or if it's a bug. I will have get clarification from the Dev. Team.
I'll get back you as soon as I'm able.
Cheers,

Thank you.
If the two requests I recently reported for 308.1 can be solved, plus adding
- 1. Full screensupport, or minimizing UI area
2. regular expression search, as well as search within certain page ranges (such as for a 1000 page book restricting search to range 100-200)

Re: Multiple window improvement suggestions
Hi Bob,
We are planning on implementing Fullscreen for build 309, provided all goes according to plan.
Search by regular expression is something that we're planning on implementing, but for now I don't have an ETA, the only info. that I have is that it's in the works.
