Printing Bookmarks?

I am licensing and distribution your Lite Driver to my clients.

I have a client that is printing tax return documents to PDF using your PDF Lite driver. Apparently, the tax return document has something in it that can be used to bookmark the resulting PDF. They mentioned that other PDF drivers can create bookmarks in the resulting PDF.

I'm not sure how the bookmarks get added to the printed PDF, but is there anyway the Lite Driver can be configure to print the "bookmarks" that are in the tax document being printed out. Or do they need to be added after the fact using information in the tax document software?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the post - I'm afraid that the option to create bookmarks isn't a feature of XChange Lite. This is something that comes as part of the Standard driver (PDF-XChange Standard):

I would suggest downloading a trial of Standard to see if it will do as you need.

But if we had the standard driver, you're saying that it would print the bookmarks? So the file stream sent to the PDF driver would contain info about bookmarks?

Hi Jeff,

I'm not a Developer myself, but I believe that this would depend on how you would like the bookmarks to be created. Are there bookmarks in the source file that you're looking to 'pass through' to the PDF, or are you looking to generate bookmarks based on document content?
