Outside of Aviable Print Area Warning Error

I routinely have difficulty printing with PDF-XChange Editor and will be adding these as they come up.

Today's difficulty:

The document available at http://www.ded.uscourts.gov/sites/defau ... -30-10.pdf opened without issue in PDF-XChange Editor v. 5.5, build 309.0. But, when attempting to print it with various settings, errors were received. See attached. None of these errors were received with Adobe.

I printed one page with PDF-XChange Editor and it printed fine by ignoring the warning.

Thanks for the post and files - I'm seeing the same here. It seems that the print preview is unaffected by the scaling options. I've created an internal development ticket for the issue (RT-2675), we will pursue a fix as quick as is possible.

Hmmh - I don't see a problem, I see elegible warnings ....

You have a document, 612*792 pt = 8.5x11 inch.
You have a paper in your printer: 8.5 x 11 inch
You have scaling: None

That's obvious, but you have also a printer (HP) which has the well-known, inevitable and dreaded "imprintable hardware margins" of 2-5 mm (1/10 inch) which nearly all printers have.
So your printer has a "printable size" of maybe 8.3 x 10.8 inch. This size is communicated from the printer to the print-command

Now the printer tries to print "PDF: 8.5*11" to "paper: 8.3*10.8" with "100%". Will it be successful: No. And that's the reason of the warnings.

And yes - it looks crazy for you, because the document has a lot of white space around and everybody sees that there should be no problem. So why the print-comamnd makes an alert? Because it does not care about white space, it cares only about paper-size. And in this case it is to large ...

As described by Peter2 it is not an error (though we would refine the text of the message).
Editor just warns that there are pages in the range that might be larger than a printable area of selected paper (size of the paper reduced by margins reported by the printer).
