. . . this was the only feature in Adobe Acrobat that I missed in PDF-XChange Editor, up until now:

Editor - Added PDF Optimizer plugin that allows to optimize size of PDF documents. (added in 5.5.309)

Now hopefully I am back for good. :)

Note: now this feature is in 'beta' mode. We still working on that: fixing, improving, adding new options...
