why I can not edit page content? I can not copy or cut? This option was expected in vs. 3! When can we have this option? Thanks.

Thanks for the email - this was something that has been implemented for quite a while, in the Editor, so please make sure that you are running the latest release by downloading and running the following installer:

I would strongly recommend reading this KB article before upgrading:

If that doesn't help, please advise on what specifically happens when trying to edit content and copy/paste.

I have the same problem,

on some pdf files the Edit Content button is greyed out!

I checked Document Properties -> Security to see if the problem was there but everything was allowed. The text in the pdf is selectable with the "Select Text" tool, it is not an image.

Any suggestions?

**I have the latest version of the Editor build 309!

***I noticed that even though it says in Documents Properties that there is no Security on the pdf, it is signed! I don't know if that is the problem and if there is a workaround in order to edit content..

Thanks for the post - I suspect that there may be digital signatures that do not allow for content editing. With one of these documents open, could you please click the "Options" button in the lower left corner of the Editor and check that no signatures are present?

Alternately, please send a sample that displays this issue.

Hi p.kazazis,

I'm afraid that I couldn't advise on any way to workaround this restriction, as we have to respect any and all forms of security placed on a document by the document's author. Should you need an editable version of the document, you will need to contact the document author.

With regards to the security not being reported, we do plan to implement the ability for the Editor to report this in the security section of the Document Properties, but I don't currently have any information on when this might be.

Please tell me how to edit the attached document. I have made it my self, there is no signatures or security.
How can I copy or cut the contet and how can I copy or cut the text?

Hello respo,

This file contains vector objects (curves) and an image.

Using the "Edit Content Tool" - you can select both the vector objects and the image, and move them around the page.
For now cutting and copying of base content is not active - you can only move such objects on the same page. We are working on allowing the cut and paste operations on such objects in a future build (both on the same and on other pages).
