Creating a PDF with a 3D model

An announcement by Tracker, back in 2005, said they were going to include the ability to embed a 3D model. However, I have not been able to find this feature. I tried searching the forum for "3D" but the web site responded that 3D was too common a term.

I have found some utilities for AutoCAD, that will give it the ability export a 3D PDF, costing $150. But, I use BricsCAD, and don't have AutoCAD. So, I either need a stand-along package that can read DWG, or something compatible with BricsCAD.

Does any of Tracker's products support the creation of a 3D model embedded in a PDF?

If not, any other suggestions?

Hey Joe,

Thanks for the post - 3D support is something that we do plan to implement and have planned to implement for a while, but I'm afraid that as it stands, there currently many more, higher priority items on the list.

This is still planned, but for now we don't have any info. on when that might be.
