length measurement - How to disable label text shown

I'm have no problem with the dimension shown when measuring in length. But it also shows the text of what I've enter in the label. How do make the text of the label not indicated. The reason is that the text may be too long that it overlap and cover the wording shown on the drawing

Hi Will, thanks for your response. As can be seen on the sample, the original text on the drawing and the text of the comments are all overlapped and superimposed each others which make them hard to read. For your information, I'm measuring a few length there.

Thanks for the clarification, I understand now. Can you please send the PDF itself so that I can take a look at/play with the specific example here? I should then be able to advise on whether or not this is a bug, or if there's a 'cleaner' way to do what you need.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that - this can be done, in the Viewer by right clicking the object and selecting Properties --> Leader Line and deselecting the option to "Show Text in Line".

In the Editor, right click the object and selecting Properties, then switching the "Show Caption" option (near the bottom of the Properties pane) to "No".

Thanks Will for your response. However, can this be set as default so that it can be used for the next, and the next measurement instead of edit every length measured.

Hi Steve,

I don't believe that this can be done in the Viewer, but in the Editor, provided that you have the tool selected and the Properties Pane open, then you should be able to set this option before placing any measurements and have it apply to all new measurements.
