Can I search from the current page forward/backward?

Post by tim126 »

1. I am at a page of a pdf file. I would like to search for a word from here till the end of the file, or backward to the beginning of the file. How can I do that? Ctrl-Shift-f, will only search from the beginning till the end of the file, which makes me have to first look for where my current page is in the found results.

2. Can the found results contain the page number of where each match is?

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

Using Ctrl-F should place your curson in the quick find field. F3 will "find next" and "Shift-F3" will find previous.

The PDF XChange Editor has more info in the advanced search pane (Ctrl-Shift-F) - but it has problems running under the current builds of Wine.

Regards,
Stefan

The problem is that I can't use Ctrl-F, as the box is not editable. Same as the problem for the box for the current page number. See that post.

Hi Tim,

Then it seems you will need to test Wine 1.6.2 when you find the space to compile it.

Cheers,
