Guys,
I wish to insert a page number AUTOMATICALLY on the bottom right hand corner of pdf documents. (e.g Page 1 of 2).
The problem is that I am now using a textbox and typing it manually.
Is there any way to generate it automatically when I add or insert pages.
in microsoft words, I will go to the header, right click, edit the field and select "Page".
What about xpdfviewer?
Is there any shortcut?
TIA.

Hello Clarence,
Seems like you are using the Viewer, and the Editor is a separate product that replaces it:

Hi, Clarence.
Like Bhikkhu Pesala said, you can use Bates Numbering, but it's more commonly used for multiple documents throughout numeration.
So I suggest using Headers And Footers for this task: there is a button "Insert Page Number" which can automatically add numbers to pages based on selected format.
PS: Like Stefan said, all of these features are part of the PDF-XChange Editor not Viewer

Is the upgrade from viewer to editor free?
My company is using a licensed viewer.
I cant make the decision.
Or are there any open source tools which you can recommend?
Thanks.

Hello Clarence,
If there is active maintenance on your company's Viewer license - yes the upgrade will be free of charge.
Please write to support@pdf-xchange.com with your order number or part of the serial you currently have - and I will check for you if you can upgrade it for free.
Regards,
Stefan
