after editing a file all pages are white

Post by Lyn »

Dear Support Team!

I have experienced the following problem(s) with the PDF-XChange Viewer:

I edited a pdf file (edited images, pasted new ones, included text via the description fields used the text marker, included empty pages and deleted some), saved it and copied it to a new location. Now I wanted to open it again, but all pages are white. Its also not possible to open it when using the acrobat reader.

Do you have any idea what the reason for this is? Is it possible to restore this file??

Unfortunately its not possible to attach the file as it has a size of 9 MB.

Thank you

Hi Lyn,

Thanks for the post - could you please try emailing the file to support@pdf-xchange.com, with a link back to this topic? Alternately, please email support and we will provide you with an upload link.

Also, please send in a screen-shot of the Help --> About dialogue.

Cheers,
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Best regards

Thanks Lyn,

I just replied to your e-mail.
You have build 309 so please make sure to update:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads

As for the file - unfortunately it's too damaged and can't be repaired, so you will have to use an older copy of it and work all the latest changes once again (after you update to the latest build first).

Regards,
Stefan
