Searching inside form fields not possible?

Is it possible to search inside form fields of forms which are created with Acrobate Pro?
The search function of PDF-XChange do not find words that I have wrote with this Programm in the form fields before, just as Text that I wrote in the form fields withe Acrobate.

Thank you for the post. Could you please provide the actual file with which you are seeing this issue?

You can post it to the forum in the form of .zip, or if you are experiencing this issue with a file that contains sensitive information, you could send it to support@pdf-xchange.com with a link back to this forum.

I will try to reproduce the issue. Could you please make sure you have filled some of the fields with Adobe so that we can test and try to reproduce the issue here.

Thanks for the form you sent Gregor,

thanks for the file. The reason you are not getting a result in your search is that the PDF-XChange Viewer does not have the ability to search within form fields. This is one of the features that have been added to the Viewer's replacement the PDF-XChange Editor.

If you want to be able to search within form fields this way you will need to move to the Editor. Both the Viewer and Editor can be installed at the same time, though the Editor now does pretty much everything the Viewer could plus much more!

Hi again Gregor,

understood. We are planning a portable version of the Editor in future, unfortunately I can't give you an ETA on it's release. I expect it to be at least some months away. Until then I'm afraid if you are needing a portable version we only have the Viewer.
