Hi There
I currently use the Viewer (but posting here in Editor as I understand that's where any new things will happen) to search through large collections of docs in my unceasing quest for knowledge. Often as I start to review my search results I learn about new terms I want to search for, but I don't want to lose my place in the current results list.
Would it be possible to allow (or is it currently possible and I've just missed it) multiple search panes to coexist, so I could flip back and forth between result sets without having to redo the (potentially time-consuming) search?
thanks
F

Re: Feature Request: multiple searches
Hello Frango,
Thank you for the post. At this time there is no way to use multiple searches to keep your place in the original search. That being said, you could open the document in the Editor, search, then open the same document in the Viewer to make a subsequent search.
As I understand you are using the Viewer, you can download the Editor here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE5.zip
I hope this helps!

thanks for the speedy reply. Perhaps if others are also interested, it could be considered for a future release...

Re: Feature Request: multiple searches
Hello frango,
With build 312 of the Editor you can also save your custom searches (the "Advanced Criterion" radio button), and give them unique names. So while this will not help with the potentially slow searches - you can at least save your custom searches and then quickly redo them with all the options populated for you with just a couple of mouse clicks.
Regards,
Stefan
