Drag and drop pages - pro version

hello everyone
I have pro version of pdfxchange viewer - version 2.5 (Build 311.0) (Oct 28 2014; 17:29:31).
Trying to drag and drop pages to a new pdf, it does not work :
when I "click, hold and drag the selected page(s) to the tab for the "To” document." This should automatically activate the "To” document and its Thumbnails pane. But It does not. When I drag the pages, the cursor expands into a "mini-thumbnail" of the pages but with a little wrong-way sign at the top left corner of this "mini-thumbnail". When I try printing the screen , the wrong-way sign does not appear .

I would recommend using the Editor as it is the Viewer's replacement and is much more advanced. You can install it here:

Thank you very much for your answer.

You say I should move to "Editor".Does it work on a USB Key ? As I said, I need to use a portable version as I cannot put a software in a computer, and I read on the site that viewer was the only one.
Of course it would be very well to upgrade.
My level in using software is not good enough to make a test with Editor on a USB key, and I would not like loose the activation key for the pro version.

I do not know if it will help, but you can also try with the latest version of the PDF-XChange Viewer (2.5.312.1), that you can find at the download page (be sure to take the "portable version"):

It seems like version 2.5.311.0 is not available anymore, so I was not able to test with that.
But with the newest (portable) version, I must say, myself I do not see a problem.
After selecting the pages to copy (or to move) and dragging them, they change indeed into thumbnails in a window with a wrong-way symbol (= forbidden-sign). When you drag them onto the tab (onglet) of one of the open PDF's, then the thumbnails of the pages of that (destination-)PDF are shown and you can now drag the selection to the wanted position.

If this does not work at your side, I hope that Tracker support will have an explanation for it.

Thanks for the posts - I'm seeing the same as Willy and this seems to work the same way in the Viewer, as in the Editor. If I left-click and drag a page thumbnail of Document A, over to the tab of Document B and wait about a second, the Viewer switches to Document B and I am then able to drop the page into the Thumbnails pane of Doc. B.

Please make sure that you are using build 312.1 of the Viewer and you shouldn't see an issue:

Regarding a portable Editor, I'm afraid that you are correct here and that none is currently available. We plan to make a portable Editor available for either build 313 or 314.
