advanced search does not work

I want to search multiple words in multiple files,
one of the PDF files contains the following string: "A bottle of beer"

when I search:

bottle of beer > is found
"bottle of beer" > is found
bottle beer > found nothing
beer bottle > found nothing
bottle and beer > found nothing
bottle "and" beer > found nothing
bottle AND beer > found nothing
bottle "AND" beer > found nothing

logical operator "AND" does not work, I need help please.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum!

I suspect that the issue you are experiencing here is setting dependent. You likely have "Only Adjacent Words" set in the Proximity settings under options by default.



Please choose one of the other Proximity settings.

The Viewer is the older product and this is simply not available in it, so I will recommend a switch to the Editor.
