Hyperlink to bookmark in footer not being converted

I have a Word document with a hyperlink in a footer that links to a bookmark in the document. When I run this through PDF_XChange 5.0 Office COM plugin the hyperlink does not work in the resulting PDF document. Is this supported?

If that doesn't help, please advise on the version of MS Word that you're using.

I have downloaded the latest version. I am using Word 2013 Version 15.0.4719.1002. The hyperlink works from within Word. If I do a save as PDF from word it also works in the PDF. It is just through PDF-XChange plugin it does not seem to work. Any other things I should check?

Thanks for the info. - I'm not yet certain whether this is a bug, or whether this is the type of command that the add-in does not yet support (link to position on page), but the issue will be investigated further and, if simply a feature not implemented, we will consider the addition of the ability to convert these links.

I simplified my repro for you. In code we will set a bookmark on a Word range. Then set a hyperlink on every footer to get back to that range. The range is the Table of Contents. And since we are dealing with 100's of pages in the document we wanted a shortcut back to the Table of Contents.

Hi Jeff,

Understood - a workaround for now, might be to create the link once in the Editor, select that link after the necessary properties have been set, then use the Object --> Duplicate Annotation feature, to duplicate the link over all of the pages:
