REVERTING TO HAND TOOL ALWAYS

I have PDF exchange viewer PRO.
Up until recently I have been able to use a tool (pencil tool) repeatedly and use space bar to turn on hand tool when a move needed.
Things have changed just now that, I select a tool, use it once and the program reverts to the hand tool! (no smiles attached!!)
What secret setting have I changed to make this unwanted function active??
Please help.. I'm wasting so much time.

Hello Peter,

Make sure that the properties toolbar is active (Ctrl-E), and then select your tool.
Now in the properties toolbar search for the "Keep tool selected" option. Most likely you have unchecked this for that particular tool. Click it back to on and all will be good.
