PDF-XChange default viewer but PDFs in excel open with Adobe

PDF links in Excel still open with Adobe despite PDF-XChange being the default PDF viewer in WIndows
is there anyway to override this behaviour?

Hello keljon,

Are those links to pdfs on the file system or are those embedded PDF files inside the PDF?
If you are embedding the files - unfortunately they are embedded in a very specific way as OLE objects, and then when you double click to open it - the object searches for the exac same application that embedded the file and not for the "default application for .pdf files". This is a limitation in MS Office and there is no way around it.
