Hello,
We're having a strange issue where certain computers are unable to view pdf's with PDF-Xchange Viewer in the program Perceptive Content and some users get an error and have to click an option to view in the associated application.
I was on a support call with a Perceptive tech and we looked within all of the settings in Perceptive and it is nothing in that program that is causing the issue. If we remove XChange Viewer and use just Adobe Reader the PDF's open normally.
I checked the registry settings and they're the same on both machines so I don't know why it works for one computer and not the other. XChange Viewer is set for the default program for .pdfs and we also tried checking and then unchecking "Display PDF in Browser." Both machines are on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1
Has anyone come across this type of issue in another program or have any suggestions where else to look as to why it's working for 1 computer and not the other? Thank you.
Cannot view pdf in Perceptive Content

Re: Cannot view pdf in Perceptive Content
Hi TrackerTX9,
Thanks for the post - I'm not familiar with Perceptive Content, but from the description it sounds as though they're utilizing our broswer add-in. Can you please try viewing PDF's in Firefox and IE and let us know, which (if either) does not display PDF's in browser correctly?
Thanks,

Re: Cannot view pdf in Perceptive Content
Thank you for the quick response, they are using the browser add-in.
IE and Chrome were able to open a PDF with no issues.
Firefox gave "This plugin is vulnerable an should be updated. Check for updates... Click here to activate the PDF-XChange Viewer plugin." I have to activate it every time to view the PDF.

Re: Cannot view pdf in Perceptive Content
Hi TrackerTX9,
Please first make sure that you're using the latest release of the Viewer (build 315):
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip
If that doesn't help, please try the Editor as it has replaced the Viewer and only issues that we deem critical will be fixed, in the Viewer:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE5.zip
Cheers,
