Language support in PDF-Tools 6 SOLVED

Hello Trackers,

I have an issue by switching the GUI language of the new PDF-Tools 6 from default english to german.
If I try to switch the language to german under the preferences menu, only this preferences dialog window changes to german but not the main window with all offered tools. That window appears still in englisch.

I've already downloaded the localization tool (pdfeditorlocalizer301) and tried it, but there is no template with the german language for PDF-Tools 6.

Do I miss any specific language file?

Hello Crx,

Indeed the German Trnslation of the PDF Tools is not yet ready. We have someone already working on it (BigMike - also a member of these forums) who just sent us updates for all other translations and says he is focusing on the Tools now.

BigMike translates on a purely voluntary basis so I'm afraid that there's nothing that we can do to expedite this. I'm sure he's working as fast as he can

Sure there is something you could do to speed things up. Simply pay your translators a reasonable amount for their time and effort, and you'll get the translation done in no time.

Translating software into other languages is a job like programming, selling or marketing software. Quite frankly, I don't realize why someone should be working for any commercial company without an adequate financial compensation.

Welcome to your forums and thanks for your post.
We do appreciate the offer, but we have the PDF Tools 6 already translated in German.

You can find attached the language file. Just put it inside this folder:
C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF Tools V6\Languages
And then switching to German should translate the whole interface.
