RTL feature in V3

Post by ammine007 »

Salam,

In our company we are using three languages (Arabic, English and French) to fill out forms.

I know that pdf x-change viewer does not support RTL directions for RTL languages (they are still written from LTR as Latin) for annotating PDF, and as it's said in this forum, this feature (annotating pdf with RTL languages) is planned for the V3.

while waiting for the v3 beta, i tried to do the work classicaly, wich means I created an arabic form with LibreOffice-Writer and exported my form to pdf.
So that instead of annotating my pdf with pdf x-change viewer I can just fill out form fields naturaly, But pdf x-change viewer does not support filliing out natural form fields with RTL (arabic, Urdu and Farsi) languages.

So, i'm asking if the RTL feature that will come with the V3, will be just for annotating pdf or for globaly Writting (annotating, commenting and filling natural form fields) with RTL languages...?

Thank you for your time ! and good luck to you all !

Hello ammine,

I spoke with the devs and they confirmed that RTL will not be only for annotations but for all text input options available in our Viewer.

Best,
Stefan
