diff and/or ganged display

When messing around with parameters to decrease the size of PDF files I often find myself loading two PDFs that differ only in compression, and then going through the two PDFs page by page looking for differences. This is a subjective exercise, since the maximum amount of compression that can be usefully employed differs with the content of the files, especially the picture content.

To help with this it would be great if the PDF viewer had a "ganged" display mode, where page down moves every page down in the open PDFs. That is, moving to page N would move to page N on every open PDF. Even better would be a "diff" view mode, where one PDF could be subtracted from the other. This could be done by having each page render to an image, and then subtract the images. The diff mode would make it really easy to find pages to look at more closely, since if the compression changed nothing, as is typical on a page with just text and line drawings, the diff'd image would just be black.
