Is there any way to change the icon used in windows explorer for PDF documents? I am so used the red icon, I'd like to use one of the Gnome icons for PDF docs, but currently it uses default blue+red. Any way to change this?

I believe that the Viewer will revert any such changes you do manually, but you could try the tips outlined here
(the above link is for Win7, but pretty much the same steps should be followed for older versions of windows as well)
