Win 7 64 bit, FireFox 3.6.
When I preview a PDF in my browser I do not see any toolbars. I can bring up a right click menu.

Try the F8 or F11 shortcuts (make sure that the plugin content has focus first, or the shortcut will do whatever it does in your browser).
The browser plugin is fully customisable independently of the standalone viewer.
