As of 2.5.191, scrolling in Linux (wine) corrupts text
Prior to 2.5.191, I could use the scroll mouse to scroll through a document I was viewing on my Ubuntu Linux machine (using Wine). Since 191, however, scrolling with the mouse often corrupts the image. Not super. I'm stuck at an old release.
It might be worth testing out each release under Wine to see how it pans out.

Hello Fairbairn,
While we are not officially suporting Wine, this was an issue also happening in full screen under windows, so our devs worked on this and it should have been improved in the latest buidl 2.5.192. So please test with that build and post your comments here.
You can always download the latest installer from here:

Thanks, I tried 192, but alas, same thing (though better I believe). Dropping back to an earlier rev is not too big a deal, but I would like to eventually upgrade (since I paid for the 3 year upgrade as well). Keep up the good work though! I really like the s/w.

Hello Fairbairn,
As far as I am aware it is still being worked on, so there would be further improvements in the upcoming builds as well
Thanks for the kind words!
Best,
Stefan

Sure thing! Please find a screenshot attached. You can see three areas where there is some noticeable corruption.

Re: As of 2.5.191, scrolling in Linux (wine) corrupts text
I had the same problem with pdf xchange viewer free 2.5 portable on wine/ubuntu 10.10.
The solution I've found works really well.
Make sure you've got the default settings for the application, and after that you just go to:
Edit -> Preferences -> Performance and make sure you have checked the checkbox "Use synchronous mode of page rendering".
After checking that option pdf xchange viewer runs smoothly as it does on windows.
HTH,

Thanks sfabriz,
But please also use the Synchronous mode with caution as it could sometimes decrease the performance, but certainly if you feel it smooths it out - it's better to keep it on.
Best,
Stefan

on my 5 years old pc I haven't noticed any performance problems and since readability is much more important, I'm sure happy with this solution until a proper one is found.
Cheers,
