Converting Multiple word documents to pdf's

Post by Airwolfr »

Hello
I would like to know if there is a way to convert multiple Word Documents to pdf format.
I know we can do this with Adobe Acrobat, such as highlight mulitple work documents, right click and covert to pdf.
Or can this be a feature to add into an update to PDF X-Change Pro, such as having an option in the PDF Tools to drag multiple documents into a window and convert to pdf?

I was struggling with almost the same problem: printing several docs automatically into one single PDF.

And I found this solution:
OpenOffice has an easy to use command line interface (opposite to MS Word). So I use
"C:\Programs\OpenOffice.org 3\program\swriter.exe" -invisible -p doc1.doc doc2.doc doc3.doc

PDF-Xchange Printer settings have to be (compare attached screenshot):
"save"-dialogue:
NO checkmarks at "Show Save as Dialog" and "Run Application after Printing"
NO Makro for filename, just use a fixed name
Drop down list for "When File exists" set to "Merge with existing (Append To).

This works great for me.

Thanks for the help Mattes,

Airwolfr you can also use the Office2PDF tool we provide (and make the same changed Mattes suggested) and it should work out pretty much the same.

Best,
Stefan
