Format of data feeding into a form from another program

Post by rigbyl »

Hi, I hope you can make sense of my description of my issue.

I have created a form using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
The form is uploaded into a web-based program that is tied into a database.
Information from the database feeds into the web-based program.
My form pulls information from the database via fields in the web-based program.
(The web-based program uses ABCPDF)
In one field, on the web-based program the data appears in a vertical column.
When I open my form using Adobe Reader, this data appears horizontally in the field which is what I want.
When I open my form using PDf X-Change Viewer, the data appears vertically so only the first bit of text appears.

I was thrilled to discover PDF X-Change Viewer because my users can save the data they enter into the form, while with Adobe Reader they cannot (because ABCPDF re-creates the form once it is in the web-based program, which removes some of the Adobe Reader rights).

Can you please help me to make the data appear horizontally in this one field?
Thank you for your advice.

HI rigbyl,

can you send us the file to examine please? You will need to ensure it is in a zip archive (or similar) else the forum software will strip it from the post.

If the content is sensitive and you would rather not have it posted on this forum please send it to support@pdf-xchange.com and in the email refer to this thread.

We will honour the confidentiality of any document you send.
Best regards
