Can't print pdf files opened in Internet Explorer

Post by callwzrd »

Starting just a week or so ago, I noticed that I was unable to to save files that opened with Tracker Viewer (or Tracker Pro, I really don't know which is openeing). Can't save by using the Save command within the IE File command, and the command box that opens while the document is opened in IE no longer has the "Save" command/button on it. Everything works fine with Chrome and with Firefox, just not in Internet Explorer. I updated the lastest (February 15, 2011) version of both Viewer and Pro. I am running IE 8 with Windows XP Pro. Appears to me that some kind of setting allowing documents to be saved from IE has been changed, but I can't find any such setting to change back! Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Joe,

I've sent these same instructions to your email:

I have a little trick that might work.

First, close any open windows of Internet Explorer.

In the Viewer go to Edit->Preferences->File Associations. Remove the check in Display in Browser and click Apply and OK, then close the Viewer.

Run the Viewer again and go back to Edit->Preferences->File Associations, recheck Display in Browser and click Apply and OK.

Open a PDF via the Internet Explorer and see if that solves it.

If not you may need to re-install the product.

Please get back to me and let me know if that works, if not I may to investigate further with our development team on Monday.

Best,
Chris
