Hi unwake,
there is a new version coming with a new UI. Lets see what that brings. In the meanwhile, is you want more space you can toggle the Toolbars on and off. Try
F8 - toggle Toolbars
F9 - toggle menu bar
F11 - toggle all
F12 - full screen.
