I have a need to take an existing PDF Page and proportionally "scale it down" such that I can free up some space at the bottom of the page for a bar code and document number. Is there a way to do this while retaining its PDF characteristics? I realize that annotations and form fields along with popup note windows will tend to get a bit tricky.
One way is to flatten the contents into an image and then place the image on a page scaled as necessary. This implies that the image can have popup note windows flattened into them though.
Another way is simply to copy the contents to a slightly larger page. This implies that the printing process will scale the page down to the paper size.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
How to resize page contents...
