Hi,
I have some PDF documents that are in tabular format and I would like to be able to select and copy it in table format. Adobe has a command Copy as Table and this lets me copy it and put it into an excell spreadsheet. The way PDF-xchange does it is just copy and it wants to put the whole row of data into one cell instead of several cells accross. Does anyone know does PDF xchange have a command similar to copy as table? Is there a work around for this command XChange. I really like the environment much better then Adobe but I need to copy as a table.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Jason

Re: Help copying data into table format
Hi jasond1979,
when you use the 'Select Tool' to select the text in the columns - try holding down the left ALT key - it will allow you to select rows instead of columns. That can help when trying to copy data, when you paste into excel you should get cells for each item, they may not however be in rows for each item.
Carefully selecting your data to copy by using/not using the ALT key can help but it will not copy a table as unique cells as you have suggested.
While copying tables this way is not a part of the upcoming V3 - it is definitely something we are aware of and could well revisit after the initial V3 release.

Thanks Paul for the response and Tip. Definately in the future consider copy table functions would be of great help. I found an excellent program to help me with it http://www.convertpdftoexcel.net/ and it did the job. But I definately used your program to export subsets of the PDF before I ran the convert program on it.

Re: Help copying data into table format
Hello Jason,
Our developers asked me to make a Feature Request ticket in our internal system for this case:
#1141: Viewer FR: Copying data into table format
So that we can schedule it for implementation at some point in the future.
We will update this topic when there are any news.
Best,
Stefan
