File Browser for the

Post by mark p »

Would it be possible to get a file browser added to the list of viewing options for the left hand column?
I am testing your viewer for marking up large numbers of college papers online and having a drag-and-drop
method to sort between course folder and item tab would be extremely handy.

iHI Mark,

thanks for the suggestion. We do already have a Feature Request in our system for a way to save 'collections' of documents so that you can easily open the documents you work on frequently. It is not exactly a file browser in the Viewer but will be intended to do pretty much exactly what you have proposed.

The original Feature Request was this:
Dear Tracker Software!

I use PDF XChange Viewer Pro for literature review. In this context I often
open 10-50 documents that I review over more than one session.
It is already a good feature to be able to keep the last opened documents in
a list, but I really miss the opportunity to save a collection of documents
to re-open them together in another session, or to choose that I would like
to re-open a collection of documents automatically the next time I start the
viewer, or - best solution - to organize several collections of documents of
different projects for a later session.
By the way, it would be perfect to have a keyboard shortcut for virtually
every function of the software...

Thank you, best regards,
Bernd Klaeser
While we are working on this it is not slated to be in the initial V3 release this Autumn but sometime after that.

I hope that helps.
Best regards
