Hi there!
We have a big problem: At the moment it is not possible to select multiple objects in the PDFXChangeViewer.
I found the latest post from one of your supporters from 28-Jul-2010 (more than a year ago) where he stated that this be be realized in Version 3.
We kicked Acrobat from our product and implemented the PDFXChangeViewer as tool for redlining.
But our customer needs the possibility of selecting multiple comments to copy from one pdf to another.
If our application does not support that feature, we'll get in trouble and have to change back to Acrobat.
When will version 3 be released?
Best regards,
cew

Re: Select multiple objects (comments, etc.)
Hello cew,
Ver3 is almost ready and we plan to have it ready a bit later this Autumn.
For the moment what you can do is "Comments -> Export comments to data file..." and then import them in the other document.
If the format and the positioning of the pages is similar - this could work as a temporary workaround.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Select multiple objects (comments, etc.)
Hi Stefan,
Hope, "this later Autumn" is a deadline because V3 was already advised for end of 2010.
Our app has two viewers side by side where the user should be able to copy the comments from one viewer to the other.
This has to be done in an efficient way. Ex-Import is not efficient. Ctrl-A -> Ctrl-C -> Ctrl-V -> is efficient.
Best regards

The missing feature is critical. Our customer is a big player in chemical industry and is not willing to wait too long for a feature he had using Acrobat...Tracker Supp-Stefan wrote:Ver3 is almost ready and we plan to have it ready a bit later this Autumn.

Thanks for the hint but this is not practicable.Tracker Supp-Stefan wrote:For the moment what you can do is "Comments -> Export comments to data file..." and then import them in the other document.

Hello Cew,
Yes I understand your concern, and we are aware that the new version of the Viewer was delayed several times over the last year, but this time we are aiming at finally releasing it this Autumn.
Best,
Stefan

Hi cew,
We cannot be more specific than that at present I'm afraid.

Late Autumn is as firm as we are prepared to give at this point. As this discussion has brought up, we have in the past had difficulty because of setting unrealistic deadlines. Autumn should probably include September, October and November.what is "this Autumn"? Do you have deadline?
