Saving anotations, highlights, underlines into the pfd file

Post by AlexC »

Hello,

I´m starting using PDF-XChange Viewer (free version) to read, take anotations, underline a study text.

I would like to know if something unexpected happens to the PC, and i need to format;

- if those anotations, underlines, etc are saved into the pdf itself (i keep a copy a external midia), so i can simply re-install PDF-XChange Viewer again in the same PC, or in another one, and continue my work in the backup file;

- or if all anotations, underlines, etc re lost...

Thanks in advance and sorry the poor English

Hello Alex,

Yes the annotations are saved in the PDF File itself, and as they are part of the PDF specification, you will be able to see them in any other PDF Viewing application as well - and even modify them there - if the respective application allows that.

Best,
Stefan
