Text appears in PDF XChange, but not Acrobat

PDF XChange Viewer Version 2.5 Build 197 and 198
Acrobat Reader 9.4.6

I place text in a textbox using PDF XChange, but when I open the PDF in Acrobat, the red box is there, but the text is not. Am I missing something obvious? Or is there a bug in XChange or Reader?

Hello Ken,

That's a bug on our side introduced with build 198 last week. We do plan to release a new build really soon (hopefully tonight) - which will correct this.

Was it strictly with Build 198? I had the problem today with Build 197, so I installed Build 198 hoping it would fix the problem. Either way I need a fix for this ASAP! My company uses PDF XChange Viewer for markup purposes. But we are frequently sending these files to people who just use Adobe Reader.

Strange. I know I used 197 the first time...but it is a Monday. I uninstalled PDF XChange Viewer and re-installed Build 197 and things are working correctly. Not such a rush for me then. I will just wait for an updated build.

Thankls fpr that Ken,

I was pretty sure that this was introduced in 198. We had hoped to get thi snew build out over the week end, some issues fixing a scanner problem has delayed that. We are still expecting this will be done in the next day or so...
